Rooted Rooftop #3 – Unconventional Job Search Methods at the First Job Fair in Tarczyn
On 27 April 2026, the Ro(o)tation community gathered for another Rooted Rooftop event, this time organised as part of the First Job Fair in Tarczyn, hosted by the District Labour Office in Piaseczno and the Municipality of Tarczyn.
The event took place at the Municipal Centre for Culture and Sport in Tarczyn and brought together Ro(o)tation participants, long-term unemployed individuals, employers, HR professionals, representatives of public institutions and members of the local community interested in building a more inclusive labour market.
The meeting was part of the RO(O)TATION project – a European initiative supporting sustainable employment of long-term unemployed individuals, including neurodiverse participants and people on the autism spectrum, through psychotherapy, financial education, coaching and employment sustainability support.
The main topic of this session was:
“Unconventional Methods of Job Searching”
The workshop was led by:
👥 Kinga Krzemińska-Puzio – career advisor
👥 Renata Kierdelewicz – psychotherapist
During the workshop, participants discussed how rapidly the labour market is changing and why traditional job-search methods are often no longer sufficient in the era of AI, automated recruitment and digital HR processes.
Special attention was given to practical and less obvious job-search strategies, including:
• networking and professional relationship-building,
• using local communities and thematic groups,
• word-of-mouth recommendations,
• LinkedIn and social media presence,
• attending industry events and job fairs,
• building a personal brand,
• directly approaching employers even without open vacancies,
• using AI tools to prepare CVs and search for job opportunities.
Participants also had the opportunity to meet representatives of labour market institutions, including the District Labour Office, the Labour Inspectorate, the Social Insurance Institution and local government representatives.
The meeting created a valuable space for exchanging experiences, building connections and strengthening the local employment community. One of the most important aspects was the opportunity for long-term unemployed participants to engage directly with employers and HR specialists in an atmosphere of openness and mutual understanding.
We would like to thank all participants and partner institutions for their involvement and for helping build the Rooted Rooftop community
