Diversity Celebration #5 – Practical Job Interview Training at Klubokawiarnia Pożyteczna
On 9 April 2026, another meeting from the Diversity Celebration series took place as part of the Ro(o)tation project. This time, participants gathered at the unique Klubokawiarnia Pożyteczna in Warsaw – a place well known for supporting neurodiverse individuals and promoting inclusion and community engagement.
The meeting had a highly practical focus and was dedicated to the topic:
“Job Interview Training”
The workshop was designed as a safe and supportive space for practicing recruitment interviews step by step, without pressure or judgment. Participants had the opportunity to take on different roles – candidate, employer and observer – allowing them to better understand the recruitment process from multiple perspectives.
During the session, participants worked in small groups and took part in simulated job interviews. Each conversation followed a clear and predictable structure, which was particularly important for neurodiverse participants and helped reduce stress related to recruitment situations.
The workshop covered topics such as:
how to prepare for a job interview,
how to answer common interview questions,
how to communicate personal needs and strengths,
how to cope with stress and uncertainty during interviews,
how to build a sense of safety and comfort in recruitment processes.
Special attention was given to creating an atmosphere of acceptance and support. Participants could speak at their own pace, ask for clarification, take breaks and work within a structured framework of exercises. The workshop highlighted that a job interview does not have to be based on stress and pressure, but can instead become a space for calm communication and mutual understanding.
An important part of the meeting was also learning how to provide supportive and constructive feedback. Participants practiced giving feedback focused on strengths and development opportunities rather than judgment.
The workshop provided participants with practical tools and strategies they can use in real recruitment processes. For many, it was also an opportunity to reduce anxiety related to interviews, build confidence and experience the positive impact of group support.
Once again, the meeting demonstrated how important it is to combine professional activation with mental wellbeing, psychological safety and community building. These values are at the heart of the Ro(o)tation project, which supports not only returning to the labour market, but also strengthening participants’ confidence, wellbeing and sense of belonging.
